Weather peeps said a dusting to an inch. We are currently at 7 inches of heavy wet yech!

Forecasted 6-8" wet snow in the mountains, just rain at my elevation. Sure hope so. We really need water bad.

We've been getting lots of high moisture weather, but little registering in the rain gauge. Lot of fog and mist. Supposed to get a 30° jump in temps on Friday accompanied by (maybe) severe storms. Hoping to get an inch or two then.
Wife just read our forecast for Friday as we return home Thursday night. Sounds like we might get something finally. 5” forecast above 7500 feet which we are. Let it snow, we are in such bad shape. Worst snowpack since those records were started some 40 years ago.
76° today, severe storms tomorrow and highs in the 40's rest of the week. Spent the afternoon in an apple tree.
If all the weather gurus are to be believed, the world as we know it (at least for a wide band through central Illinois) will be forever changed. Severe storm risk of 4 out of 5 (NWS) and a TORCON of 7-9 out of 10 (weather channel). They are claiming baseball sized hail and EF3 tornadoes.
As we are in the far western edge of the predicted disaster zone, and the propensity of weather idiots to over predict disasters, we will probably get a little rain and some wind. Time will tell, most predicted to happen after dark.

We are having a fluke early 60 degree sunny day! Washed both vehicles and we took a walk without coats for the first time in months. Back to cold and normal tomorrow though. Was sure nice.
We had enough snow this morning to coat the deck white - all gone now.
We had 3 days of rain in the 40's, wind. Then got the sun, 60 degree day, most snow melted. Then 2 days in the 70's. Lakes and ponds still froze, but snow gone other than piles everywhere. Sad how my sled year was a dead year. Never even made it on the hard water this year.
My weather station has hit 83° which is unheard of this early in the year. Definitely have the energy building up for some storms.
Last night was predicted for rain at about 8-8:30pm. That particular forecast was right on the money. It rained for about 15 minutes just before 9pm, and our total over 3/8". I'm glad I got things covered yesterday afternoon, but forgot to close the right hand door on my truck. The rain came in at the right angle where nothing was wet, but only slightly moist which dried up by 10am. Today looked like we were going to get flooded, but only super mean looking clouds so far, but supposed to clear by sundown.

We’ve been in red flag alert for past month or two. Beneficial rain has largely been north or south of.us. Got a little rain, 15-20 minutes and perhaps 1/4” of rain…just enough a sparse bit of grass poking around. 
Hate overnight storms. Hope any tornadoes just hangout in fields away from everyone.
We just ended our red flag warnings after 1.5" of rain over the weekend. Despite that, was burning a small bag of trash today and the area I burn caught and made some impressively high flames. It's all surrounded by mowed grass though so can't spread far. Still had to get hoses out to keep it tame though.We’ve been in red flag alert for past month or two. That's where most seem to hit, although they always seem to hit a few farmsteads too.
It's starting now, but seems to be tracking just north of us.
I’ve got several piles of clippings just waiting.. On the plus side….My yard has access to two hydrants , I have water bibs on two sides, of shop and one of my neighbors is a fireman.
On the downside my burn pile ie only about 40 ft from my wood frame shop and the grasses still brown enough to give fuel to spread.
