Completed this handle project yesterday. Wood species is Bubinga, finish is Wipe on Poly, Gloss. Included pic of Woodcraft kit if anyone is curious about the source of the hardware. Chuck

Nice. Is the threaded portion just epoxied into the wooden handle or is there a threaded nut that you glue in the wood part?

Glued the threaded portion directly into the wood, so the paddle is NOT removable. The somewhat tricky part was making sure the ferrule was not too loose (although I did put a dab of CA glue on the inside of it, as well), and that the threaded portion seated to ensure the ferrule was tight. Nice job Chuck. Now, you going to make some ice cream? Fresh peach sounds good.
I use to make my own ice cream with an electric ice cream maker when my kids were growing up. We perfected chocolate chip mint as our favorite in those days. Never made fresh peach, but it certainly sounds good! Chuck

Mint chocolate chip is my second favorite. Black licorice is my favorite.
