I offered Todd @EastmansWoodturning help embedding his videos for him until he learns, but when I offered the help I didn't realize he uses an iPhone also. So when he PMd for help I had to tell him I was in the same boat. Neither of us know how to get our images and videos from our phones to the forum in a post.

I hope you won't tell me to email them to my desktop PC because I couldn't figure out how to set up my emails in my phone either. Any help out there for Todd and me?
 
Pictures are done as usual. Videos I think have to be on YouTube anyways... So you just need to download the YouTube capture app, upload, then paste the link on here.

I'll say that Google chrome seems to be best for navigating the site
 
When I'm on YouTube like the video I just posted. I copy the link in the address bar then paste it to my message.

Okay Tony caled and got me to 3rd base on the videos and all the way home on the images. Thanks Tony eat a mess o crawdad for me too.

I was wanting to get my videos and images from my phone to my PC because video and image editing on the little phone screen sux eggs. Tony told me how to get the images to my PC. I didn't even know that the charger port is used to do everything else. I can just plug my USB from the phone into my puter that's too easy.

We couldn't figure out how to get the video recorded by the phone to the forum though - I think all I have to do is allow the apple vdeo extension I'll try to enable it later.

@EastmansWoodturning Todd you getting al this?
 
Oh. Well I don't edit my pics, and I just put my videos straight to YouTube.

At least tony got to 3rd base with someone..

Trying, I live in the stix and the only internet I can get is over cellular (phone lines around here are to old) so it does no good to load anything here to the laptop. I did do the YouTube thing and pm you that, but still unsuccessful. But maybe if you enable the apple extension ( what ever that is) it will work. Thanks for all the help.

I can't see any conflict here. We have members rules & privileges and we have monkey rules & privileges. They aren't the same.
 
Monkeys have more privileges ?

I just got an answer on the video question.

"The videos stored in your iPhone is .mov extension.

It's not practical to allow members to upload videos as attachment to your forum because of the large size videos are. Also very few members would do this as creating good quality videos is time consuming and rarely done."

So it's best to just upload to youtube if you want and then embed it here once you do that.

I'm trying to make a post from my phone because it has the pics on it I need to post, but I no longer have a text box. I have a subject line text box but no message text box. I have posted here using my phone before but no can do now. Any ideas?

When using my Ipad all I do is use the upload file on your site, but I am willing to admit I have no idea what I am doing.

My problem is that the actual message box itself has disappeared, so I don't even have the ability to upload attachments etc. The only thing showing is the subject field (I can type in it) and the Poll Options . . . . but no where to type an actual message.
