I’m planning to cut a cat hole in a door for access to a litter box. Round and I’ll turn 2 rims to clean up the opening. The opening will be about 7.5” once the trim rings are installed.

For those that have cat doors/holes, is this big enough for a 10lb mouse catcher?

I made an outside cat house and used a 6" holesaw for the opening hole, all sizes of cats fit through it just fine.

As long as it's not chubby cat, one reason they have whiskers. If their whiskers fit they can go through....

Well now....She could tip the scales at 30 pounds with the length of her whiskers.............

I've always heard that as long as a cat and many other animals like skunks, possums, squirrels etc can get their head thru an opening, they can get the rest of their body through no problem.
