I was just going through a couple shipments of wood that i received today - one from Cook woods, the other from a Canadian dealer - and as I was marking up the labels i saw the little bug pictured below run across right in front of me. It's about 3/8" - 1/2" long.
I'm not in my shop where i store my wood.. I'm in my dining room. The wood that I'm processing includes the following boards & slabs: angelim vermelho, angelim pedra, carob , African olive, silver wattle, red narra, queen ebony. And it also includes the following bowl blanks that are fully waxed: silver wattle, piquiarana, Oregon ironwood, Brazilian peppermint. I do not see any bug holes in any of these pieces, nor do i see a pile of sawdust anywhere. I only got these in the mail a few hours ago.
So do i need to be worried about this or what?
