Listened to owner. Tarrif war is going to make them make a choice. Move south or, retire.
I have a couple Jessem products, router table, fence and accessories. Not cheap but 20 some years and perfect. If you need parts you might think about buying now. I would hate to see them go away. I suspect LN is in same spot. The best hand tools I have are LN. I hope they both survive..

Yeah. Looks like veritas is finally getting the upper hand for hand tools. Sad though. LN was a good middle ground between unbelievably expensive handmade tools (think sauer and Steiner or Karl Holtey for hand planes) and the factory made ones. I’m not saying veritas is bad (they are very very good actually) but it doesn’t have the same feel as handmade tools.
 
Most of the manufacturers will move their operations here i think. There are far more customers here than in the north. It's gonna take a little time but I think it will all sort itself out. Many of the larger companies are already moving south, only a matter of time before the smaller companies follow suit.

No matter what it will sort itself out. Now the question is what will situation look like then...

Distribution has never really been the problem. Most companies have run into problems with supply and production. Either they can’t get the materials they need at a low enough price or they can no longer produce them cheaply enough. Selling them in the South is not very hard. It’s mainly a question of logistics which is usually outsourced. The companies that do logistics are very specialised and can usually get it done very very cheaply.
