Can you drop a picture of the piece or pieces you have done? Most chamise is only harvested from the root burl as it normally is the size of a shrubNeed a good source for chamise. Love the grain on this wood. It’s very hard to find.

Hope your move is going well. Sorry you were ousted. I have seen a good bit of it because of land value spikes brought on by covid here. When you find your feet again and your roots are resting, let us know. I got some Chamise off you twice but still looking to land a larger piece of the upper stem to have in the sample collection as a comparison reference.no there is none currently available as was described in my prior posts in this thread. i have lots but no time to prep list sell or ship.
maybe at a later date after @NCWoodSmith has gotten the material he has been requesting and waiting over 6 months for me to get my act together
most of the stems were either burnt off since the root corns were dislodged due to fire and flash flood, and or due to the poor soil and rocky nature of the area, limited to only about 2" diameterHope your move is going well. The day is yours.
Thanks Trev, you had said so before. I was just reminding you if by chance you score a decent upper to keep me in mind. Hope things are starting to fall in place for you.most of the stems were either burnt off since the root corns were dislodged due to fire and flash flood, and or due to the poor soil and rocky nature of the area, limited to only about 2" diameter
Fortunately my reclaimed building materials business is rolling along quite well, plenty of customers and margins staying up since inflation is escalating new product retail prices through the roof. now stable reliable employees is a whole different matter. used to pay $16 an hour now it's $20 and not sure i'm getting as good of results as i used to.Thanks Trev, you had said so before.
