Gorgeous! Loguat - I've never seen it either. Grandmom had one tree, but she wouldn't let Lil Mikey cut it down!

Kumquat is a citrus. Loquat is not - it is closest to the stone fruits, but not quite. They are kinda like a tropical apricot, but not a stone fruit like, peaches, apricots, etc... nor is it a pome fruit like apples and pears.
