@Friedrich9 can I double check you have these two for the trade please? Just adding up the European woods on the TWD poster

Elm, SiberianUlmus pumila
Poplar, whitePopulus alba

That would only leave me white willow unaccounted for
I don’t have those in your size. Only bowl blanks. I’ll check my sources. GVWP had Siberian elm spindle blanks in the past

No problem thanks for checking. The elm looks doable but the poplar is more difficult, if you have a source that would be great thanks

Wait white poplar? Is that the same as silver poplar?

Edit: yes it is. It grows like a weed round here. How much do you need?

Hey Dave, just a reminder that I’ve already cut a piece of Siberian Elm for you to flute blank size.
Ah fantastic thanks, glad someone's keeping track:) Too many spreadsheets.

@daniscool can you save me some silver poplar too please? Do yo have dryish stuff or would you be finding a tree? Something like 2 x 2 x 20" green would be plenty.

Here is a quick list of your wish list I can definitely do.
Indonesian Nyatoh

Brush Box

wandoo

Ramin

Southern Silky oak

Belah

Boonaree

Spear wattle

Ironwood wattle

King Billy pine

Cooktown ironwood

I can do the black stink wood once I figure out how to cut my log of it. It has a lot of heart rot. Need to find it, but may be able to do Celery top pine. I can source some of the others with a bit of time. I dig out a few other things, I didn’t check your list but I found dead finish/red lancewood, creek line Miniritchie , yellow box, last thing pictured on left is the piece of boonaree I’m thinking

@SA-Motors fantastic thanks so much! That's an amazing selection.
I've asked about the rhodesian teak, just hoping they can cut it to size. Otherwise I might get the whole plank and see who else fancies some:)
The order from Thomas Kessler should be here in the next couple of days
Anything more you need from Espen.de? I'm trying to get up to the minimum order value

Thanks @Friedrich9 they also look amazing! And unmistakeably like hard Australian woods

I've got these now, or possibly

Boonaree I have a chunk for a glue up, but a spindle is still tempting if it can be done easily
Southern silky oak/Grevillia robusta I have
@Jperry93 might be able to get the red lancewood, but I'd still happily get a piece from you and have two
Yellow box I have already

Yes please to all of the others, I've been looking for the creekline miniritchie

@SA-Motors @daveflutes and @Friedrich9 what are the minimum sizes you can use? I found a very very small log of common buckthorn Rhamnus cathartica. It would be semi dry and slightly weird grained. It was a throwaway from my spoon carving because of its irregular grain. A little bit of burl too. Not sure if it will be visible unless separated and glued in and such.

For Fred, I’m unsure if I will ever get a piece large enough for a bowl blank. I think the widest I could possibly get my hands on is 3 or 4 inches. With bark. A candy dish? Yeah. A bowl? I sadly don’t think so.

Hi @daniscool thank you for asking. I’m turning spindles to a finished size of 1.25” x 18”. So anything that size or a bit larger is perfect for me. I don’t mind irregular grain or knots or some sapwood, but prefer not to have the pith unless that’s all that you find. I prefer a length of 19 to 20 inches to mount the piece on my lathe, but even a length of 18.1” will work, because I can glue a waste block to each end. If the piece is not fully dry, then a little extra thickness becomes important due to warping while drying. Pieces for me do not need to be planed or sanded, they can be rough sawn, chainsaw cut, or still have bark.I am in no rush, so appreciate you keeping an eye out for me even if it takes a long while to find these species I don’t have. Thank you!
