Hello all. New member. Retired. Woodworker since 1970. Had wonderful shop and 30 + years of wood when ex-dropped the ax- had to sell almost all wood and tools. Life, however, is strange and now in my dottage once again able to do woodworking. Kept some really nice exotics from the early days. Hope to perhaps barter some, perhaps not. Or, just chat. Health is up and down - some days feel decent but increasingly limited to part time shop time due to fatigue. Enjoy making small boxes- also like using veneer.

Welcome Bill. Many of us are feeling our age a bit too much so glad you can hang out with us. You have a whole bunch of new friends here. My brother lives in Hermitage right next door to you and we love to go to Nashville for the music. Lots of love for exotics here so show us what you have.

Bill,
Welcome to Wood Barter you found the right site.
Sorry that your health is not what you would prefer ☹️Hoping that becoming active here will be an uplift to you.
I would love to see some of your projects. You raised more than a few eyebrows when you mentioned exotic woods.

Wow- thanks to all for such a warm welcome:thanx2:. Confession- I know how to send e-mail photos from my "smart" phone but I don't know how to copy same to computer. I live with my son , so I'll ask him if he knows the process. As far as showing off some wood and or completed projects I'd love to once I figure out the photo thing.:ponder:. I have several nice Brazilian rosewood veneered boxes and two identical twin mappa burl veneered boxes I'll show if and when the picture thing gets fixed. Also I might add I absolutely love spaulted wood and recently discovered a fellow in Ontario who specializes in selling Spaulted Yellow Birch which are totally gorgeous ( although sorta small in size ). Thanks too all, again.
