Hi I have a extension cord on the floor of my shop to take power to my work bench and I triped on it today. I want to make a better connection to the bench. The white cord that plugs in to the cord on the floor goes to a power strip. I would like to make a less cumbersome attach ment to the bench before I tape the cord down any ideas will be helpful thanks
Mike

My guitar coach had to run a cord across the floor when they were forced to move into a new shop area and he laid one of those foam flooring pads over the cord. It's big enough not to slide around and heavy enough to stay put. My Mom needed a cord run to her recliner chair so I bought a section of that rubber moulding with a slit in the bottom specifically made for cords like this, tapers on both sides to make a smooth transition. I stuck it down with double stick floor tape and that only lasted a couple months before traffic and the vacuum pulled it loose - so I don't that's a good idea.

Good way to secure a cord safely. Looks better than duct tape and won’t wear out.

This is what I got for my mom's apartment and it didn't stay stuck down very long. I bet in a shop environment it would be even less likely to stay stuck down. The rubber thing is great if you can figure out a way to keep it stuck down.
