It's been a minute...
1. In Houston, watching the best game ever with about 50 other fanatics.
2. Boy Scout awards ceremony - the boy was officially ranked up to Star.
3. I have to admit the whole experience of watching a AAA ball team beats all the fuss of the big league stadium.

So glad that somwone still honors BSA. I spent my "hour" a week back when my boy was in. After his Eagle ceremony I sort on faded out.

Kind of ironic boy scouts came up. I am at a local BSA camp teaching a level 2 tracking class this week to some of our guys so they can be on the teams. This one is 13000 acres and loaded with rattlesnakes and copperheads. Fortunately we haven't run to any yet

I wish there was a better program where I grew up (and we weren't dirt poor.) only went on two camp outs a year. One being summer camp. However, though there are still several things to dislike at the executive level, we are blessed to be in a great Troop - one that is not an Eagle Farm and are doing our best deliver Mr. Powell's vision. It's needed now more than ever I say... There are several Scouts who aren't driving yet who can run and LEAD an organization better than most adult professionals.
