Milo Bowl/Cup

Completed a 2” Milo bowl from a blank I bought from @Kalai. This is the first of several blanks I picked up from him when I went to the Big Island last year. Tried to use Wipe on Poly for the finish, but the wood must be too oily, as it just would not dry. So, I sanded off the Wipe on Poly, and finished with Shellawax, which resulted in a soft satin finish. The lighter is for size comparison. Sorry it’s not blue, @Kenbo! Chuck

Simply gorgeous colour. I like the finish more than your usual high gloss. You should do it more often.

Very nice bowl. I forgot to mention that Milo wood is funny with finishes, they just won't dry, for what ever reason. I have had good luck with plain sanding sealer. Again great job. Aloha.
