Working up a few bases for some Singer sewing machines. @woodtickgreg - you might find this helpful

Started with an original Singer base for both 3/4 size machines and their full size line. Measured the heck out of them, made a few changes, deepened them up and increased the size of the accessory well so the original foot pedal will actually fit inside (The original ones that space is too narrow so folks had to put the pedal on the machine when storing and it'll scratch up the bed) I'm lasering a logo on them (Scanned a 1907 manual and cleaned it up in photoshop so I could laser it. Next will be the glue up for all of them and then to cut and install the machines stands in the corners.

Very interesting my brother, I need to make a few myself one day. I have a few machines that could use bases like that.

Here's where we're at, all 6 got glued up, corner stands to support the machine cut and installed and sanded out. Using my Rigid brand workbench to get some finishing done. These will be going onto an online ordering system so I am also working up wood samples to photograph and sample pieces with the 2 different logos I'll be offering.

Now to let the finish dry overnight and rub them out and finish them up tomorrow.

Of course. They still have to get the felt pads added to the bottom and the standoffs and a couple are going to get handles on the ends. Then it'll be photo shoot time to get an ordering link for sewing people to order them.

And we're done. Got them all buffed out today and I posted a link in a sewing forum I belong to so we'll see how many orders I get (I already have 2) I'm offering two different logos (The 1951 machines had a special badge on them) and 4 wood choices. Handles on the ends are a buy up

Very cool, I like the top logo.

Thanks. I scanned the back of a 1907 Singer 27 manual and cleaned it up in Photoshop. The other was more difficult. I had to photograph the badge on a machine and then convert it to a decent image to burn
