I have plenty of pieces for sale. All pieces are fresh cut but will have open grain waxed. Price is by size so please don’t ask price without specifying dimensions. If I do not have the size you want I can cut it.
Not all pieces pictured will be available because I sell on other sites as well. Here is a sample of prices to expect.
Duck calls 1.5 x 1.5 x 6 = $24
Pot calls. 4 x 4 x 1. = $20
Pen blanks 5/8 x 5/8 x 5 = $1
Trumpet 1.25 x 1.25 x 6 = $12
Knife scales 1 x 2 x 5. = $10

1st picture posted is 4x4x16 x-cut with yellow. I can cut it to size plus I have more I can cut. This one is roughly 2x8x12

Hi, Paul, I'd be interested in 3 trumpet-sized (or longer) pieces that also had that type of gradation, or had what you'd consider a particularly rich green to them. Has anything appeared like that yet?

Whoop sorry: 8"-11" long, x-cut preferably but straight also works. Whichever pieces in those ranges you would think are particularly nice/interesting; I'd trust your judgement.

I do not cut x-cut over 6” in the 1.25 x 1.25 because of how fragile they are at those lengths. If you want me to cut that size I will but very likely to break during shipping. Straight cuts I do have

Thanks for the intel. What is the widest/thickest you'd recommend? (First time I'm seeing something I'd specifically request in that grain direction.)

Like I said, I can cut any length you want. I just do not normally cut that size. I do get requests for 1.5 x 1.5 x 8 but not often. I will not have mixed colors that size to cut at this time but I will in the future. Right now, besides what I already have cut, I only have solid green logs. I will get more logs in the next few weeks but it is not up to me how the colors is. That is all mother nature’s doing.

Sorry, totally miswrote that; I meant to ask what the minimum width/thickness would be you'd recommend to ensure structural integrity for a x-cut piece if it were going to be an 8"-11" length? (This is looking towards the future for the mixed colors, like you said; but I figured I'd ask now anyway.)

From what you have ready, though, do you have three or four straight cut 1.25x1.25x greater than or equal to 8"?

I would trust 1.5” up to about 12” long on the x-cut. After that I would suggest 1.75” for x-cut longer than 12”.
On straight cut it can be any length at almost and size. I have 1.25 that are up to 10” but can easily cut more as long as you want solid green

Thanks, Paul; I'll take (3) 1.25 squares 10-inches long now, and then check in if/when you find more gradient x-cut pieces.

Hey Paul - If you do find more of those gradient cross cut pieces like in your photo (go from yellow to green to black) I'd buy three plus three of the dark green, all cross cut, for reel seat inserts. I can use 1" X 1" X 5", even 4". If you cut them a little larger that's fine, don't cut them special for me, I can always trim them down before I stabilize them. Let me know when you find some and we'll settle up. Thanks, Doug

^I am posting your photo marked up for reference for the pen blanks and the knife blanks- looking for that gradation of color ways, but cross cut this time around. I will message you again for cross referring purpose with this post so we are on the same page…..
