Walked out this morn and found this. Saddleback caterpillar. It’s the first I have seen in my brief span on this globe.

Fantastic find! Be careful of caterpillars with little hairs and spines sticking out like that. Many of them have urticating hairs (there's a cool word for you) that are designed to break off and cause itching, pain, burning, and sometimes infection. Feels like fiberglass shards. We had one i Panama we called an "electric caterpillar" and it hurt - a lot. We kids learned real fast what those looked like.
