It was a rainy day yesterday so I made my shooting shack windows. I had some dry cedar that was pretty accessible so that was the material. White cedar takes screw's without splitting pretty good and l have a 5 pound box of galvanized 2.5" drywall screws that I never can find a us for so it worked out well. I did pre drill and counter sink before screwing. They went pretty fast once I got everything ready to go. I'm waiting on my inexpensive hinges that I ordered from Walmart and Velcro for the curtains. The curtains will be made from black landscape fabric and attached to the sash so the curtains will not have to be opened to open the window. I'm planning to staple them to the bottom and use noVelcro at the top. Velcro is a little noisy but if it's adjusted to suit the hunter when starting the hunt it should not have to be touched again.
