New idea for table saw height gauge

Came across this guy's video last night and it looks like a great idea, unfortunately at the time being no option for a unisaw but looks like most other cabinet saw brands are covered

Link at the bottom of the page for the YouTube video explaining how it works
I'm in no way affiliated with this just wanted to spend more money
I have a Unisaw, also. Guess I am out of luck, as well. Chuck

Yeah, for now. Unisaw has 4 rev for inch of height so that be a issue as well as different handwheels being used over the 60 years of being made

My concern would be what happens if you don't blow off any dust on the threads. Does it still work as slick as in the video, and will it keep working that good after several years? ................ Nubs

I know it's steel but the blade height adjustment screw is bathed in sawdust and works just fine with dust

This looks like a solution looking for a problem. When I have to be dead accurate, I test cut scrap stock

I would not solely trust a gauge on an expensive piece of wood without testing the cut on scrape stock. The gauge gets you close. Tweaking gets you accurate. Just my point of view.

I had kind of the same initial reaction. Very cool product idea, but this is one of those "problems" that is so minor as not to need a fancy solution, in my opinion - and as I tend to change blades as needs dictate, I'd end up test cutting scrap stock during setup anyway and just end up with extra calibration steps. Traditional height setting with a standard sliding square works simply enough for me.
