Hey, I'm Karl and I'm primarily a woodturner. Once in a while I do some flatwork or refinish a piece of furniture but I really enjoy twice-turning large pieces like hollow forms from green wood. I finish my work with a variety of carving, pyrography, dye, and paint techniques. We've been in "the city" less than a year and previously lived in coastal NC where the hurricanes provided all the fallen trees I could want. Lately I've been working with some green Bradford Pear and Maple that were available locally but I prefer Cherry. I'm looking forward to learning from y'all and, perhaps, we will trade some wood too.
