My name is Larry, When I retired in 2018 I needed a hobby and my uncle who was a woodturner got me interested in woodturning. I've been turning every since then. I turn mostly hollow forms and am always looking for different figured woods and burls. Attached are some pieces of some of my work.
Welcome from Tucson. Way back in the early '70's I was contemplating moving to Arizona, up near Camp Verde, Cottonwood or even Clarkdale. I didn't do it cuz I couldn't get a job with my experiences, so I moved to Tucson. That area is beautiful, and I had a sister-in-law that did move to Cornville. I've visited there a few times and really liked the area.
You're gonna like it here, even though we have an Austrian on the site. Anyway, those are some good looking pieces you've done.
That last piece in the pictures; is that Palo Verde? If not, let me know what wood it is, please. ............ Nubs
