I managed to get this completed as I was waiting for a can of finish to arrive. Inside is not perfect has a few lumps and bumps toward the bottom as the tool was bouncing around due to the overhang. I then decided to build a hollowing apparatus to try and alleviate that problem in the future. I am waiting on a cutter to arrive and then will have another go at hollowing a deeper vessel. All critiques are welcome.

Nicely done! I see Groot in the second pic.

Not much to criticize, it's a nice looking form. I prefer a narrower base, but that's just personal taste that differs with everyone.

One thing you can do to make it look narrower and "lift" the base is to change that curve on the bottom 1/4" - 1/2". Rather than leaving a "sharp" edge at the base, change the angle and carry the curve to the underside just slightly. It will give a nice shadow line and hide the actual base on which it is sitting.

If you zoom in on this form, you can see what I mean. It's a subtle change, but can really enhance the form.

Very nice work. I find a lot tear out with NIP turned end grain like this. You did great! Unusually high number of knots. It’s one of the few woods where you can keep the pith and it doesn’t crack. Love it!
