Oct. Turning Challenge- Something Other Than Wood

@duncsuss mentioned Banksia Pod and that’s something I purchased from @Mike1950 not too long ago.

I recently saw a Banksia Pod turning, from a friend in Australia, and it motivated me to turn one and submit it to the challenge.

This one is about 8” tall and 3” wide. Finished with rattle can lacquer. A couple different angles below.

Yes you can glue solid surface together ( Corien type product .. it’s a brand name and I never used it in my shop … cost to freight it in was to much … they are at least 100 companies that make the same counter top product

The pens look great. I guess that is another matter I need to add to my list to try.
