I've processed some 6" turning blocks, sanded and oiled a couple of them. I'm very disappointed with the figure. I can't understand why they are so different from the first photo I posted. Because these blocks do not show the depth of figure I was expecting I'm withdrawing my offer to sell this wood.

That's unfortunate that the figure wasn't as pronounced in the middle, but there is still figure. You don't even want to sell at a lower rate?

My asking price is essentially my break even point. Shipping was nearly as much as the cost of the wood. I'd rather keep it than sell at a loss.

Gotcha. Understood. Hopefully you got enough slab left to still use as a slab.
