In case you don't venture into other sub-forums, here's a link to a post about the Old Schwamb Mill - with some pix and video of their elliptical picture frame lathes in action.

When I'm feeling sad I'll be able to cheer myself up by imaging the face of an OSHA inspector seeing all the 130-year-old spinning sharp things :lol2:
