The first stationary tool I bought, more than 50 yrs ago. Wallace Jointer, patent date 1917. IMG_0995.jpeg
here is my mortise, eBay purchase about 20 yrs ago. No name, 3/4 HP, flat belt drive. No name tag, I guess it to be about same vintage as the jointer.

Nice tools! Vintage American-made iron is great stuff!

The flat belt powered mortiser is likely 30+ years older than the WT jointer.

Amazing. I had an old ulmia table saw from 19 something and it outshone all modern saws except for the sawstop. Safety first. Always safety first.

Very nice! I have a 50s model parks planer that I have to put back in service and a 50s model sears cast iron table saw that I have to repower.
2 weeks ago I purchased 3/4 of a post drill that has a flat belt drive adaptor on it. Time to get working on these toys...
