One last look at New Mexico before we leave for our new life in France tomorrow. You are looking at the Sangre de Cristo mountains, with the finger mesa foothills of the Jemez mountains in the foreground.
I truly enjoyed my 21 years in northern New Mexico. Although it’s a very poor state with a lot of problems, it is rich in natural beauty and culture. The food is fantastic and I will miss it dearly. I’ll miss all of the running and mountain biking trails, and the scarcity of people. I could have happily lived out my days here.
But opportunity knocked, and this was a no-brainer once in a lifetime chance. A chance to see and experience so many new sights, cultures, history, food, and much more. It will be a long time before we buy a home and get settled in, but it will be worth all the effort.
The next time you see me post I will be in Aix en Provence. Until then,Au Revoir!
