Not a millionaire, but I am a structural engineer and my wife works in the biotech/pharma industry on oncology studies. So we do alright 😂

Plus, she doesn't know how much wood I buy lol :secret:. I can justify it cause I drive a 12yo jeep with an unlimited mileage lifetime warranty and I haven't purchased new clothes in about 10 years. I got her so beat in those two areas 😂

We do quite well for ourselves too. I work at Siemens grid software as a manager.

The other two I have to work on. I do need some nicer clothes for work so that definitely is a difference.

I dont even leave the house, so its gym shorts and tshirts for me lol
 
I went to West Penn Hardwoods and picked some 1.5” pieces yesterday (I live 30 min away). This is a pen I turned from a figured blank I’ve had for a while. This blank did not come from there. They are some nice blanks of this stuff at West Penn, I’m glad I got to go pick through the stacks. Current moisture content of those at West Penn is around 25%. Let it air dry very carefully. Decadent! I want to stop in at West Penn the next time I’m in the area. I purchased a few things from them through the mail in the past, and was very satisfied. Chuck

Really like your pen stand, very cool for an incredible work of art.
 
I'm actually going to switch the hardware on this pen to antique brass. It would look better than the chrome in my opinion.
