Your dad helped me many times over the last few years and am saddened to hear of his passing, he will be missed. God bless you and your family.
That sounds awesome. Noted, thank you. Thanks for sharing Mark. I suspect if they find there are family who want bowls but there arent enough bowls, that some of us would be more than happy to turn some of his blanks for them as a way of honoring him.
Thanks Marc for saying what so many of feel and keep coming back for. Other folks, non-Wood Barter folks, might laugh or sneer when I proudly say I have good friends in my forum. But it is very true. I am deeply grateful for our community.Robert, Wood Barter is an important place for me and I'm sure many others. It has become a part of my life and also part of so many other peoples lives and it's just an amazing and unique community. I've said this before when Kevin passed, and this deserves another say.
I remember when I first joined up here. There was a memorial topic for a member named Bikerjim. It struck me odd that an online forum would do this for a guy they never even met. I mean, who gets close to people on an online community?
Robert, Paul was an amazing person. Sure he was a pain in the butt too. But we all can be that too. I've had so many conversations with him and butted heads here and there. But I always respected his opinion and his thought process about what we were discussing. I had to remind him a few times that this wasn't the physics forum and to tone it down a little here. But we'd laugh about it too. I have learned quite a lot from him and I am thankful for it. I'm going to miss his comedic posts, his truthfulness, his wit, his grumpyness, but most of all, I will miss him being my friend.
"Who gets close to people on an online forum they've never met?"
Now I know.....
I do...
And Wood Barter does....
Rest in peace Paul.
