Mike, can you tell me where the Freemont cottonwood was from? I got a piece of burl off Jerry from AZ that had pink eyes. Yours looks more like mappa with dark eyes.

Mike, could you look and see if you have any more Freemont burl with those black eyes left? If you do, I hope you could squeeze a 3 and an 1/8th wide blank so I could make a full size reference sample.

I have probably 600 lbs. Mostly in 60+-×30 ×3" slabs. I will see what is handy in shop.
Just a thought, so odd to make sample size in a size that no lumber comes in.....

Your telling me odd. Yes. However, if I do a good job, I'll have a sample and a few blanks for other craft.

3 1/8 by what. Remember. I sell no sample blanks so I am clueless. I need size. We failed last time on size.

If it saves a couple bucks you can send the slab. No to pay you to cut it all up if you are just going to tape it together for shipping. Do it however shipping is the cheapest.

If folks want some smaller cuts from one of those slabs with the dark eyes I would be down for a big piece (24”x48”x3” roughly) and 4 furniture leg cuts (18”-20” with roughly 3” width and thickness.
