How do I post pictures?

I want to upload some images of my work, but not sure how. Can anyone explain the process? They are stored as JPG images on my computer.

Are you still not seeing the buttons Catherine? Do you use the same computer as Roy to post or do you have your own?
 
Pic Issue

I am noticing my pics are being downsized. When I load them I select the 800px option from picassa, which is below the 1000px limit, and it has been fine until recently. Now they are getting cut down to about 600px but I notice others are much larger. Am I doing something wrong?

This post has an example of my compressed pic but the pic right above is much larger.

This IS odd. I verified that your original pic is 800, so why it shows up at 500 is a puzzle to me.

Kevin, any ideas?

Lee has been trying to fix the mess. Half the members refuse to resize. Many others will not insert them into the text box. Those are the ones where you'll see "Attached Images" above them. The software handles that differently. We're trying to make a plugin that will make everything uniform.

Evidently human nature is no different here than anywhere else - many members will only do just enough to 'get by' so this screws it up for those who try to upload them properly as described in the tutorial in the help section.

Unfortunately until we get the mess sorted out there's going to be issues like this, but she is getting there. It's a lot of work to make a plugin and do all that stuff.

It's an option and it's easy so I use it. I load my pics the same on all forums because I keep my pics in Picassa from my phone. Is the way I load my pics a problem? Does a generic feature in the forum utility cause a problem? I load mine at 800px which is well below the max so oversized images should not be the issue.
 
picture posting tab missing

When I try to post to "Kenbo's Chat Room" I do not get the brown bar that that says "Attachments" or any to the text and tabs that are associated with it. I have looked at many of the other posts, and the bar appears, no problem. I have posted many pictures to this site with no past difficulty. I am running an HP laptop with windows 7 and using google chrome as a browser.

Hm ... I just checked and I'm seeing it OK but I'm not using chrome.

Well, I cranked up chrome and I STILL see it OK.

Please check it again and let us know if it is still missing.

I have been able to attach pictures in Kenbo's chat room from Foxfire, Chrome and Explorer. Computers can be frustrating (obvious understatement).

I use explorer on this address and it work perfect. ?????

Kenbo's back and I'll ignore the blame Canada comments for now. :nea:
As far as Vern's problem goes, I think we need to see if Lee can see something wrong in the plugins for the chat room. Or maybe Kevin would be able to see if all the I's are dotted and the T's are crossed. I don't really have access to that info from my mod CP.
