hey scott, heres a couple of pics for ya.
First pic left to right or anticlockwise: greybox burl, blackbutt burl, brown mallee burl, redgum burl.
Second pic left to right: outback rosewood , emu apple , yarran , quinine , myall.
Third pic left to right: doolan , wilga , river oak , redbox , brigalow and down in front gidgee.
Fourth pic : dead finish,( aka red lancewood).
Scott, these timber are not commercially available timbers and there for are not kiln dried “premium grade” that you speak of, you cant just stroll down to the local store and buy this stuff Most of them come from very inhospitable desert country, where your thought quite mad to be out there the heat cutting the stuff. also 99% of the Australian burl ive ever worked has at least some small surface checks .
I can do my best to cut around the cracks that these timbers are renowned for and send you what i would consider premium for each species.
Cheers. ben

Ben. In the first instance, I should like to examine the possibility of extracting 7 X 1/2 inch slices, sanded to perfection, from both the Burr of Brown Mallee and the Burr of Blackbutt. In the second instance I should like to examine the possibility of extracting 7-6 X 2 X 1 inch blanks, sanded to perfection from Red Box, Doolan, Brigalow and Red Lancewood.

Scott -- UK.

hey scott, so youd like 7, 6 x 2 x 1/2 " slices of the brown mallee and
7, 6 x 2 x 1/2 " slices of the blackbutt burls.
also 7, 6 X 2 X 1 inch blanks from each of the other 4 species.
total of 42 slices?

Ben. Apologies for the misunderstanding. With regard to the two Burrs, I require one single slice of each species (diameter: between 7 and 6 inches and +1/2 inch in thickness); with regard to the four figured species, one block of each (length: between 7 and 6 inches; 2 X 1 inches).

scott, ive just looked at the blackbutt burl, and being an odd shape the lagest peice i could get out of it would be a semi circle 175mm long x 90mm on the edges and up to 130mm.

for the burl slices and four blocks polished to 240+ i would like $140AU +
youll have to send me an adress for a shipping quote to you.
