I hope this is the correct forum. I have bought lots of wood on this site, but I’ve never sold any. Recently I came into possession of a large piece of pure black Ebony that is over 20 years old with no cracks, weighing 26 pounds. I can give the dimensions if requested. How would I price this on this site? I haven’t seen such a large piece of Ebony so I have no guidelines. According to Google, it would be over $2000.

Hi Alan. Good question. I also have a piece of jet black ebony that measures 4 3/8 " thick by 11"wide by 24" long. what does yours measure?

It’s 9.5 x 3 to 5 x 14 inches, 26.2 lbs. What does yours weigh? See my picture—one edge is missing, hence 3 to 5 inches.
