Projects I don't post (normally)

Are you at least going to get one of those fun looking scooters you kneel on? Bet you could get some real speed on one of those going downhill

3D ghost ornament made with the laser and a scroll saw. Hangs by a magnet and swivels on a wooden pin.

Toe surgery with no weight on it for 10 weeks. What the heck, you have 9 other toes? I think you should run a 10 week poll for how many times you either put weight on it or bang it on something so it hurts enough for you to say words your mom told you not to say.
Is that teasing?

I was knocked off a latter Monday and fell maybe 8 feet. Just showed the kid my black toes tonight and she's telling me they are broken because of the color and because i can't move them on command. Doctors, kids, telling us what to do....wife threatening to call EMS. Ya, I just got up, put the ladder in place and hopped up the rungs and finished the job. I did take the day yesterday to go to the doctor's office, but for another item that has haunted me since May.

Phil, bubble wrap the foot and do as you feel right.

Ha! Yes. We picked one up from our local senior center. Free use till no longer needed. Looking to pick up a shower chair also so I can try to keep clean. Should be able to zoom around our kitchen, living room area!

No weight at all on it for a couple weeks.
Sorry you hurt your foot. Get it looked at by a professional. Hope you heal quickly!

Oh. That is annoying. May you recover fast but more importantly fully.

I was really enjoying this thread. Sad that it has to take a break.
I have thousands of feet of paracord in all kinds of colors. Hopefully I can do something with that to stay busy.

Maybe take up carving? A more 106 and some green wood and you’re ready to go. Oh and rough out with the bandsaw.

Of course I'm teasing.

I've made many dollars selling keychains and knife lanyards/fobs. Bracelets too but not as much profit.
Tying the knots is hard on my arthritic fingers so I backed off making stuff. Will have lots of time to get back into it and will work slower.

Last week searching YouTube, I saw a video where a woman turner cast some Jeans with wood, and then turned it. It looked great when she was done.

Looking at the picture of the video, I think it's pretty deceiving as the video doesn't show it that way. Still a good video.

Can't quit cold turkey! Had a piece of the "sugi" left so I made an ornament. Saw this shape recently online. Figured I'd give it a try.

Nicely done Phil, a very attractive ornament. Love that shape, reminiscent of some glass ornaments I remember from childhood.

Great job on the finial!
