Yes, I like to restore antique lighting, especially art deco. Pew pews. Both Kathie and I collected Old sterling.. boy that sure got rewarding fast. But now trying to reduce not expand. We were way too good at acquiring and not very good at disposal. He says reduce as he buys more wood.....
Below little pieces of functional art and history. Made when we knew who we were and where we were. Headed...

I don't really do anything artistic. I think it's kinda of the other way around for me as my ability to work with my hands has allowed me to further my wood working.
Yes I have done some tools restorations like my southbend lathe and others.

But for my I can't really say that I'm artistic, it's just working with my hands

Photography has to be up there for me. Have a nephew that almost became a professional photographer, and I went out with him several times shooting landscapes. Chuck

Yes, my love of wood hoarding carries over into tool hoarding and glass hoarding and other craft items hoarding...
Just reread that, woodworking_ _ well! Might have a few other artistic endeavors but mostly just artistic hoards.

I'll answer no for me. I've always liked art - at least the art that appealed to me. And I've always had an appreciation for artistic talent. At the same time I'm skeptical about some things people call art. I've always been pretty good at drawing. Took up nature photography when I started travelling to fish. Wood working came way later after I retired and looked for something else to occupy my time.

I will answer for him, yes. And they are incredible. He sent me a few.

And this leads me to my answer, yes, in a manner of speaking. Trying to combine the 2 in some ways, but most of what gives me that artistic feeling is a different medium. But am always looking for something I make to at least give me a similar feeling as in my other pursuits.

Oh, yeah, I've been tying flies since 1972 when I headed off to Colorado for college. In fact, I made beer money selling flies to a couple of the professors. That's another interesting hobby that jumps back and forth from utilitarian (tye flies I need to fish with) and art (tie fancy flies for shadow boxes and display). golden stonefly improved outside AWB.jpg

Way too many. Actually the start was photography - first thing I bought when I graduated from H.S. was a very nice camera and lens. Second was a good 10-speed. Went into painting, stone carving, wood carving, wood turning, etc.... Up until recently the woodworking I would do would be making things my wife can sell in her antique business. However, if whoarding is an art - then I've got it made!

Before photography, my "art" was hitting home runs, beating up on 165# centers (I was a nose guard) and picking my nose!

Live as a breath of fresh air in a bean-counter world. Embrace your dreams and support your reality!
