I did a giant log house in N. Idaho, 3 stories, great room was 3 stories ceiling. Huge logs. 3-4' diameter. Some logs stuck out on ends, like peak and floor. Levels. Giant carved eagle head at peak, bears, 's. Engineered to shrink 1'+ . We did plaster inside and stucco outside. Never got called. Back so engineer must have done his job.

Wood Whoarding is most definitely a skill that most of us have, some more than others!
