If woodworking was an Olympic sport, what event would you compete in?

Carving. Probably the greenwood carving bowl race because I sort of want to know how fast I can be. A nice bowl adze can get the job done really quickly.

Every four years I would attempt to qualify but fall just short. Although I might have a better shot at Creative Ways to Curse At Your Wood Project.

Not wood but we used to bet at lunch how long it would take for a chunk of magnesium to burn through whatever. Like a bucket full of water.
We used mag floats and darbys. When worn out or damaged, we enjoyed burning them. Great fire starter. A little fat wood and mag shaving, instant fire.

The procrastination marathon!
And wood stacking on every flat surface!

I'd definitely be one of the guys operating the snow makers. You know, the guy that turns on the machine at night and sets an alarm to move it every two hours. And then falls asleep and wakes up to the supervisor screaming "who made the ski jump on the bunny slope"?!!!

Kind of that way with the lathe. Shavings have built up and become compressed so much that I'm having to dig out with a pitch fork breaking apart the layers. Bending over so far right now to turn that my back objects after a just short period of time.

If I was going to be in an actual event, probably have to be the luge. I'd be one of those guys that bounced of the walls on both sides then got ejected off the sled. On camera, you'd see the sled come flying across the finish line followed by me about a minute later, sliding on my butt whooping and hollering with a big grin on my face!

You'd have to compete with Troy ( @T. Ben )

Having the best wood collection. I'm an amateur to most in this group.

Having the most wood. Again, can't even have an honorable mention around here.

Solid categories.
