On my bucket list
I couldn't believe how vivid they were. Usually with the naked eye, it kind of looks like a weird cloud layer (white or gray in color) floating through the sky. Last night you could see the reds and the green layer went across the entire northern sky from east to west.

They are talking about it potentially being even more powerful tonight and visible down to Florida. Definitely worth going out if sky is clear

Having our own Puppy Bowl while waiting for the game, Go Pats!
This is one I'm kind of ambivalent about. I'm an NFC guy, but I hate the Seahawks. Don't really like the Pats either, but with Belichek and Brady gone, don't mind them as much. It's nice to see Vrabel have success as a coach, like the mentality of those old linebackers.

Our dog completely ignored the television, even when we tried to get him to focus on it when it had squirrels or other dogs on.

I quit watching and caring about the super bowl years ago - it's such a circus and the 2 week downtime between the last playoff game meant by the time they actually played it was almost like two completely different teams than the ones that got them there in the first place. The media tried to generate interest by having their talking heads for the Olympics sitting in San Fran stadium but I think unless you lived in Seattle or New England or bet lots of money, or wanted to see Ripjack's set design, few actually cared.

I thought it was kind of funny that Breezy Johnson won gold in the woman's downhill by over a second and a half and the media has hardly said squat about her. Nearly every story was about Lindsay Vonn, who crashed out. Don't get me wrong, I think Vonn's comeback has been remarkable and she showed a lot of guts coming back to ski at that level with titanium plates and stuff in her leg. But media needs to widen it's storyline searches. Kind of like Tiger Woods in golf.

I do admire Vonn’s guts and determination to come back at 41, but after her crash out and injury 2 weeks earlier I think her Olympic result was inevitable. I can’t help but think she took a spot on the team that another young skier could have filled. Great showing and win by Breezy Johnson!

And here is a random picture just to keep within the thread. Notice I wasn’t silly enough to actually go outside to take it. Gotta love neighbors with tractors.

Understandable that someone from Nashville would have no idea.
It pains me to admit, but you've got a valid point there!!! But the bigger pain is my tax dollars going to build a domed stadium for a 3-14 team that even seems to know less about football than Bud did - one superbowl appearance in 65 years and not that many more conference championships.
