Marc @ripjack13 digging the beginning of this, but this needs more your speed of “Rock & Roll” needing to be kicked up a notch- not really hearing early “Eruption” w/ Dave per say, but more of 5150 w/ Sammy like a transitional “Frankenstein” striping of red, black & white (“Poundcake” blaring in the background)…………

Well, well, Tommy says “Kickstart My Heart” claiming there is room for either side of the cab panels for both Pam and Heather. Mickey countered with “Girls, Girls, Girls”. Nikki then replied, “then you would be S.O.S”. Finally, the voice of the band Vince said, “you have to do what is good for you, “Dr. Feelgood” & whatever makes it feel like “Home Sweet Home”……....”I am on my waaaayyyy, I am on my waaaayyy”………

I'd be more of a White Album tribute tailgate. Though Dark Side of the Moon might be just fine--maybe better down the side of a black Prevost.

Sometimes you get lucky to be in the right place, at the right time.

Brooklyn Heights (West End) Grace Ct. & Hick Street overlooking lower downtown Manhattan:

To bad you slipped and got all that sad looking urban setting in the shot. It looks like a Kwanzan cherry upper left.
That is a cherry blossom. Probably spring or fall season would add much more contrast and interest. Everything in that shot was intentional as part of the composition. The cherry branch was used to serve as an “inferred frame” to frame the city landscape and to serve as a contrast to the city landscape of stone, glass & metal. You lose this isolation of keeping the subject(s) compact when you shoot at a different vantage point- the shot below (not a great shot) was on the next block looking north-west. It depicts a different pictorial dynamic, vibe & gets very busy as everything is stretched out…..…..…….

“Brooklyn Heights” is like a little Manhattan- lots of old New York history here (plus movies and films). The promenade is actually elevated due to natural bedrock. It has amazing views of the East River where the Statue of Liberty is visible, Verrazano Bridge, lower Manhattan to midtown Manhattan, including the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge. The houses and buildings in this neighborhood is low from period brownstones, town houses, row houses and tree lined- it feels like you stepped into the 1830’s; National Historic Landmark & historically district landmark (1st in NYC). If you want to see the “Old New York” this neighborhood will take you back in time, with all the associated nostalgia.

Canadian Bacon out of the brine for an overnight rest before two sessions of cold smoking. Will then finish it with a hot smoke on the third day.

I bet the root beer floats in that place are crazy good - like the old old A&W's with root beer out of a tap.

We've only tried the ice cream.
Definitely will go back for floats/sundaes/nanner splits.
Not on the same day.
Probably.
