Really rough Black Walnut— in process

Decided to start on this rough, really dry Black Walnut blank. Whilst getting to round managed to get 4 bullets out- nonjacketed— guess the tree was target practice at one point.
Should end up as a 13-14 inch bowl or platter & will certainly receive some turquoise love if it holds together. In my mind’s eye should be a beauty!
Will restart once have drizzled some CA into couple areas.

Granted the spalting has some potential here, but those open cracks would worry me when taking out the middle. Afraid you'll need more than CA glue to make this one safe to turn. Be very careful and don't spoil Christmas by getting hurt on this.
