Recomendations for first lathe

I second the woodturning club recommendation. My mentor found me a barely used rikon 70-220vsr plus $500 -$600 worth of acessories for $600. I initially wanted a much larger lathe, but really mid sized projects are what I mostly do. I can always borrow his or another member's lathe for the rare large project. Hope you find what you need at a great price!
