@JD1137 sold me this burl. I cut it in 4, traded one with Phil. Made a bowl and small HF that I haven’t posted. Made this today. About 6 inch diameter.

I see some sanding marks evident in last picture—I’ll get rid of those tomorrow.

Sweet!

How was it to turn? I know, softer wood, but did it give you any trouble vs. the hardwoods? Maybe sanding?

It turned like I imagine a blend of styrofoam and balsa. Sanding had to be very careful since it could easily change the shape and sand the whole thing to dust. Very very soft—very different from turning hardwood.
