Refinishing a Bailey #6

All cleaned up. I'm going to try to gunblue it with xpho-blue. Not sure how it'll look after. I want it to be a dark blackish blue.

Most I have don't is just rust removal and then oil/wax to keep dust away.

I've got a couple of planes from a guy that used to travel to estate sales. He would strip, rust removal, then spray the whole thing with gloss poly. Definitely not period correct restoration, but they have performed very well.
 
Nice. I have two old English Stanley’s a five and a four. Work well. I have some restoration pics somewhere.
