Over two years to complete. Looked at it for 6 months working up the nerve. Rough turned. Sat for close to 2 years drying. Just finished it up. Still needs finish. Not sure if I will finish it as a salad bowl or decorative. 27” across and 10” deep.

Incredible. Agree with Greg on Cole jaws, but reverse hollowing…..I would have pondered it another few years before tackling!! Beautiful piece.

That was a huge chunk of wood. Nicely done.

Guessing that came from a big black cherry tree. Amazing that size bowl came out with any large cracks.

Epic bowl. That looks extremely dangerous. Mahogany at that size must have cost you arms and legs though.
