Had a picnic with some family friends. All of a sudden we look up and a white deer is walking across the field. It disappeared into the woods, and as I was leaving it walked right in front of my truck. I’m annoyed my truck lights give it a yellowish tint.(must be oil based 😂). But i never thought I’d see one.

Almost thought it was an albino from some of your photos. Whitetail deer roam through my yard continually, and we’ve seen several Melanistic ones that are black in color, but we’ve never seen an albino one. Chuck

It might be, it had white fur. Not sure if it had the pink eyes Though. My truck lights made it look yellow in the close up pictures

I was thinking albino also. Same as Chuck, have never seen a white whitetail. Have seen a melanistic and also a piebald. On my great aunt/uncle's place near Bandera saw some sort of exotic that was white and big. It was after sundown, and on the far end of their home pasture so did not see details. My first though was white moose - but not in the Hill Country!

Piebald is a new one for me. Had to look it up. I’ve not seen one of these… yet! Chuck

I have never seen a albino deer, but have seen white coyote 70 yds so no idea on eyes, 60 mph and snow did not help. Also also a albino squirrel at DC grounds.

I think it was albino. The white phase have normal colored eyes and dark noses. Think a dark nose would have showed up in one of your photos. Seneca Army base used to have many white deer.
