Shaggybark Juniper (or gamble oak)hollow form

Got this wood as filler in a box from @shadetree_1.
Measures 4 inch round with a 3/4 inch opening. 2 coats of blue dye with 3 coats of shellac. Final coat of friction polish.

Not sure of juniper. It looks to have some pretty prominent rays.

Nice turning! If it is Juniper, it would have had an intense piney smell when turning...

Didn't notice a smell as I wear a filtered helmet. He wasn't sure and didn't label them. Might be gamble oak.
I kept adding super glue to the cracks as I turned.
