I'll share a dream, one day, I'll score some 'bird's-eye' Alligator juniper wood samples. One sample cut 1/4 sawn, showing the bisected buds, and another cut flat sawn showing the contrast of grain orientation. One of those samples will have sapwood and heartwood. Both will be smooth and relatively check free..... Yep, I did say dream. Shipping has made many things no longer in hand, but in mind.
