Late on responding, but did look it up. If I had the room! Well that and the 3-phase it would probably require. The headstock is probably all I could use as I want to do a big bowl lathe. Having rails/ways would be a detriment.
Yeah, I just thought the massive frame and headstock would be easier than trying to create your own. The motor should be replaceable with a 220 or even install a vfd. Just spit balling. I already have 3 lathes and my wife would be less than approving of a 4th...

I've got some smaller ones that I have used. This is a bigger one for going out exploring/collecting. I've connected with some local knappers. Gonna go down south TN first ( supposed to be some colorful stuff down there) before I go up north. Guy supposed to send me some Dover - but it is dark Dover - calls is blueberry dover. But he has gone kinda silent, plus I haven't been very active with the wife recovering from her surgery.
