Hi everyone, I have here a Hawaiian Milo wood block, this is a half log and it has some very nice color for Milo. The size is 7" long 8" wide and 5" tall. The price is $65 and shipping is included in the price, I take paypal. Let me know if you have any questions, aloha.

Not used to seeing that dark outer ring. Is that an infection ring or a form of death ring?

No not at all, it is all the natural color of the Milo. When you first cut a Milo tree down, the Milo is a nice pinkish red color, if I leave a log in my pile of wood for a few years the Milo will start to darken, I like to leave it in the log because the colors are better, if I took a blank from the freshly cut Milo and made a bowl, the bowl color would be pinkish red and would darken to a brown color in a few months and even darker in a few years.
So all the color you see is the Milo darkening in the log at different rates. Aloha.
