Are you interested? I “think” this is spalted Beech, but I haven’t confirmed. (It’s purdy nonetheless - LOL) I know you’re always looking for spalted Beech.
Has a very minor punky spot on one end and a little on the face I outlined with a Sharpie (magic marker for us old guys). Otherwise, seems solid through and through.
Also attaching a close up of the end grain. I see “rays”, or what I believe are rays, which I’ve read are indicative of Beech?
Maybe @Mr. Peet or @phinds wants to chime in before you commit?
In any case, asking $30 plus shipping.
