I bought a couple of peppermill blanks from @brown down a few years ago. I liked the result so well that I have used one of them in my kitchen ever since. It is now time for it to go to market, so I thought I would post a pic before it leaves. I was some of the prettiest wood I have had for mills. Not too bad for a phone picture. photo (4).webp

love the shape of that! what finish did you use? that silver birch is some pretty stuff! I haven't turned any of it but made a few boxes out of it

nicely done vern

The finish is Dr's Woodshop Shellac, walnut oil and Wax . It does a great job on Peppermills, I apply 4 or 5 coats, while the lathe is running, over a thin coat of dewaxed shellac. I apply with a papertowel and hold it till it is so hot I have to let go. Works great.

Nice job, I wish I could get mine ti be that shape, again great job
